He has been in Practice for thirty eight years and advises a varied client portfolio of owner managed businesses on accounting, taxation and commercial matters.

In his spare time he enjoys sports, reading and the theatre.

He has been in Practice for over twenty five years and has a wealth of experience in accounting, auditing, consultancy and taxation.

In line with the Firm’s philosophy, he works closely with clients to meet their needs and help them develop their business interests.

In his youth he captained the Middlesex Schools’ cricket teams
and is now an MCC member. He enjoys tennis, music and history.

Pensions Automatic Enrolment

With the introduction of Auto Enrolment there is now a requirement for every employer to offer a workplace pension. The rules around Auto Enrolment mean that there is greater onus on employers to act in compliance with The Pensions Regulator. As a Micro or SME employer you will need to undertake a number of processes to ensure that you are complying with the legal requirements and, supporting your staff effectively.

    What is Auto Enrolment?

    We assess employees for auto enrolment based on age and earnings and determine whether they are an eligible jobholder, a non-eligible jobholder or an entitled worker. Various auto enrolment tasks, such as automatically enrolling employees and assigning them to a pension scheme at the same time, can be performed on either a global or an individual basis.

Gender Pay Reporting

All organisations with 250+ employees will need to report the overall gender pay gap between all men and women from April 2017. This will need to be reported annually, not just on the organisation’s website, but also a dedicated Government website, which means that the information is accessible to all.

We take the headache out of this new legal obligation, calculate your gender pay gap and prepare the required comparisons for publication.

Following your review we will then upload the report on your behalf to the Government website.

We will provide you with a report which complies with the detailed requirements of the regulations and includes the following:

ePayslips allows your employees to view and print their own individual payslips via the Internet anywhere they have access to an Internet PC, including past periods

Likewise, this fast, efficient service also means that you, the Employer, can view any or all of your employee payslips including past periods.

When you start using the ePayslips service we will agree a publication date for each payslip run (probably the pay date). You will be able to review the payslips as soon as we have posted them to the web page but your employees will only be able to see their new payslips from the publication date.

Should you have any employees who choose to remain on paper payslips it will be possible to exclude these people from ePayslips.



Security

ePayslips uses the same type of security systems as banks and other organisations where confidential financial data is involved.

P11D service

Managed P11D service

A form P11D has to be prepared for all directors and employees who receive benefits in kind. There are also reporting requirements on P11Ds for a few items that have no net benefit in kind.

P11D forms have to be prepared for each year ended 5 April with a submission deadline of 6 July.

There are strict and potentially punitive, penalties imposed by HM Revenue & Customs for the late submission or incorrect completion of the forms.
